A structured online catalogue system was developed for Black Rice Interiors to support the presentation of a diverse range of furniture, lighting, and homewares. The platform provided a centralised environment for organising and displaying a collection characterised by varied materials, finishes, and product types.
Content architecture was defined around two primary product groups — Metal and Timber — forming the core navigation framework of the site. Each category was further divided into individual ranges, enabling products to be organised into clear, manageable groupings while maintaining flexibility for future expansion.
Catalogue layouts were designed to balance visual expression with structured access, using grid systems, close-up imagery, and consistent navigation patterns to support browsing across different product types. Product detail views extended this structure, combining imagery, pricing, and related items to maintain continuity throughout the browsing experience.
The work reflects a systems-led approach to product catalogue design, where clear hierarchy, structured grouping, and consistent presentation support both content management and user navigation.
