An information system was developed to support the Eastern Cognitive Disorders Clinic in delivering accessible clinical content to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals. The site functions as a centralised portal, providing structured access to diagnostic information, support services, and specialised educational material.
Content was organised into clearly defined modules, including the Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) Toolkit, which segmented complex medical information into manageable, sequential sections. Numbered modules and consistent navigation patterns were used to guide users through unfamiliar subject matter with clarity and control.
Resource sections were structured using grid-based layouts, enabling external links, support services, and reference materials to be organised into logical groupings. Interface decisions prioritised readability and hierarchy, ensuring information could be accessed without overwhelming users in a sensitive healthcare context.
The work reflects a systems-led approach to information design, where structure, clarity, and consistency support the communication of complex material and provide a reliable framework for ongoing updates.
